Christopher JacklinChristopher Jacklin – Baritone

Christopher is a member of ENO’s Opera Works and graduate of the Royal College of Music. Studying with Justin Lavender, he is a winner of the Eve Myra Kisch Prize and prize-winner in the Joan Chissell Schumann and AESS Patricia Routledge Competitions. He also sings with ROSL-winners Cries of London.

His various operatic credits include Oreste, Iphigénie en Tauride (Euphonia, Somerset House), Orpheus, Orpheus in the Underworld (RCM, Britten Theatre), Grosvenor, Patience (RCM, Musée D’Orsay, Paris), Onegin, Eugene Onegin (Bloomsbury Opera), and Marcello La Bohème, (Silent Opera, The Old Vic Tunnels). He is also gaining recognition in contemporary opera, performing Peter Cowdrey’s The Lovely Ladies at the Buxton Festival, Luis Soldado’s Hotel Suite with the Lisbon Contemporary Music Ensemble, Keith Burnstein’s Manifest Destiny with OperaUpClose, and has made multiple appearances at the Tête-a-Tête Festival. In October he will premiere Diana Soh’s The Boy Who Lived Down the Lane at the Yong Siew Toh conservatory, Singapore.
