Eleanor JanesEleanor Janes Soprano

Eleanor is currently studying for a Masters of Music at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with Laureen Livingstone and Rianka Bouwmeester, where she is generously supported by the Henry Wood House Fund.

Since moving to London, Eleanor has become involved with Hampstead Garden Opera, Go Opera and Classical Opera company. This summer will be a busy yet rewarding one as Eleanor will be performing Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Co-Opera, First Spirit and chorus leader in Massenet’s Cendrillon with Blackheath Opera and rehearsing with Harrow Opera for their upcoming production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte where she is performing the role of First Spirit.

Eleanor is a regular concert performer, and has sung as the soprano soloist in Bach Magnificat and St. Matthew Passion, Handel Messiah, Mozart Requiem, Fauré Requiem and Tippet Negro Spirituals. Eleanor enjoys giving recitals, most recently performing at Blackheath Halls, St. Martin-within-Ludgate and St. Stephen’s Church. Eleanor is also a keen performer of contemporary works and has given many premieres in recent years, and works alongside several young composers.
