Rosie AldridgeRosie Aldridge – Mezzo Soprano

Rosie studied at the RCM International Opera School and was awarded the McCulloch Prize for Opera. She studies with Janis Kelly, having previously worked with Kathleen Livingstone. Rosie was selected for the Glyndebourne Jerwood Trust Programme and is generously supported by a Sadler’s Wells Independent Opera Fellowship award. Roles include: Lady-in-Waiting, Macbeth (Glyndebourne); Baba/Mother Goose, The Rake’s Progress (Glyndebourne cover/BYO); Eduige, Rodelinda (London Handel Festival); Third Lady Die Zauberflöte (BBIOS); Hippolyta A Midsummer Night’s Dream (BBIOS); Public Opinion, Orpheus in the Underworld (RCMIOS/Scottish Opera cover); and Lady Jane, Patience (Musée d’Orsay, Paris).

Recent engagements include: The Dream of Gerontius (Barbican); Elijah (Barbican); Verdi Requiem (Windsor Castle); Dvořák Stabat Mater (Cadogan Hall); Elgar Sea Pictures (St George’s, Bristol); a recital at the Wigmore Hall; the Opera Highlights tour (Scottish Opera); Baba, The Rake’s Progress (Scottish Opera cover); and Wagner Wesendonck Lieder (West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge).

Subsequent engagements include: Verdi Requiem (Haileybury Imperial College); Florence Pike,  Albert Herring (ETO); and a recital at the Musée d’Orsay, Paris.
