Elizabeth Green – Harp

Elizabeth Green - HarpElizabeth attended the Purcell School of Music for seven years as a scholar before gaining her Bachelor and Master’s degrees at The Royal Academy of Music, London where she studied in Skaila Kanga’s department with Daphne Boden and Karen Vaughan.

As an orchestral harpist, Elizabeth has worked with orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, London Philharmonic, Raymond Gubbay’s London Concert Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Ballet, National Symphony Orchestra of Russia, London Chamber Orchestra and the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra. Elizabeth has also made regular appearances in the orchestras of West End productions such as ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Aspects of Love’.

In 2015 Elizabeth gave the British premier of Paul Patterson’s concerto ‘A Spiders Web’ for harp and string orchestra. She also recorded Paul’s solo work ‘Bugs’ for an album of his harp music in the same year.

Another of Elizabeth’s interests is outreach work, delivering workshops for schools and charities and introducing the harp to a new generation of musicians. She has travelled as far as Bosnia to represent the Royal Academy of Music as an educator.

Elizabeth is a member of the internationally recognised 4 Girls 4 Harps, whose music has been broadcast on Classic FM, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4. They have played at many prestigious venues such as St James’s Piccadilly and St George’s Bristol, and were invited to perform at the 9th World Harp Congress in Dublin.
