Sunday 5th July 1.00pm (picnic), 2.00pm (concert)
Midsummer Mozart: Gala Picnic Concert with the Festival Orchestra led by David Juritz
Heythrop Park, Reserve by Warner Hotels, Enstone, Oxfordshire, OX7 5UE. £40 (Adults over 18 only).
The Dean & Chadlington Festival Orchestra, led by David Juritz with soloists Bethan Terry (soprano) and Anna Hashimoto (clarinet).
The theme for this year's Festival Gala Concert is another wonderfully diverse and imaginatively chosen collection of works. David Juritz and Craig Ogden are creating a programme in celebration of Mozart, featuring vocal and clarinet soloists.
We’re thrilled to be exploring a new venue this year. Heythrop Park is an 18th century country house hotel, set in 440 acres of glorious parkland, situated on the edge of the village of Enstone. The afternoon begins at 1pm with a picnic on the rear lawn overlooking the breathtaking views of the park, followed by the concert in Heythrop Park theatre at 2pm. Guests are permitted to bring their own picnic but not allowed to bring or consume their own alcohol. Heythrop will station a mobile bar outside at the picnic area, with a limited selection of wine (red, white, rose), prosecco and beer. This will be pay as you go, but please note that this is a cashless venue. A full bar menu is also available inside.
If blessed with beautiful weather it will be a magical event indeed and regardless of the weather we promise you a joyful afternoon of world-class music. The Market Kitchen restaurant is to be used in the event of wet weather.
Everything is level and accessible by wheelchair from the car park to the picnic area, theatre and bar. The wet weather option inside the restaurant has steps but there is a lift. The theatre has some shallow steps leading down tiered seating, but back row is on the entrance level and has spaces for wheelchairs.

Anna Hashimoto’s career encompasses appearances as a soloist and orchestral musician alongside a commitment to education and new music. As a soloist Anna has worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Myung-Whun Chung and Martin Brabbins, performed with chamber musicians such as Michael Collins, Leon McCawley, and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and string quartets such as the Endellion, Kodaly, Maxwell and Prazak String Quartets.
Bethan Terry is a lyric-coloratura soprano, praised for her honest and captivating performances. Her operatic highlights include Adina in L’elisir d’amore (Wild Arts), Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus (Merry Opera), Belinda in Dido & Aeneas (Somerset Opera) and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte (NWOS), as well as regular appearances with Clonter Opera. She is a Josephine Baker Trust Artist.
Bethan was a Junior Fellow at Guildhall School, where she completed her master’s with Janice Chapman and Marie Vassiliou. She took her undergraduate at Trinity Laban, with Sophie Grimmer. For more information, head to www.bethanterry.com
